Because, as you think, the same work starts happening with your hands and the same circumstances start forming around you. 

For example, if you sow mango seeds today, then you will get to eat sweet mangoes in the future, and if you sow chili seeds today, then you will get to eat hot chilies in the future.

In the same way, if you think positively, positive circumstances begin to form around you and positively impact your life. On the contrary, if you think negatively, then the same negative work starts happening with your hands, negative circumstances start forming around you, and it has a negative result on your life. That is why it is very important for us to have control over our thoughts.

Generally, we have two types of thoughts: past thoughts and future thoughts. When we think about the past, we feel sad by remembering the bad events of the past, and when we think about the future, we start worrying about the problems and challenges that will come in the future.

Generally, when we think about something, we start reacting to that thought. For example, if you think about a friend of yours, then this is your first thought. Then you start reacting to that thought, meaning you start thinking more about your friend. 

You start remembering the time you have spent with him, and in this way, one by one, you create a chain of thoughts, due to which you start having excessive thoughts. And then, after a while, you yourself think about how far I have come from a small thought.

See, when we meditate, whatever thought comes into our mind, we do not react to it. We just watched it. By doing this, that thought does not get any energy, due to which it becomes weak and ends in a moment.

Secondly, due to meditation, your attitude towards your thoughts changes. As I have already told you, we always get two types of thoughts: thoughts of the past and thoughts of the future. So when we get thoughts of the past, we think that whatever happened in the past is over; there is no benefit in thinking about it now. 

And when we think about the future, we think that whatever will happen in the future will happen, and we will see it then. There is no point in worrying about it now. You develop such a positive attitude towards your thoughts. And this happens because you observe your thoughts by doing regular meditation. 

This helps you understand your thoughts. You understand that there is no use thinking about the past, and there is no benefit in thinking about the future and worrying about it now. The situation that is going to come tomorrow will be seen tomorrow. Why should I spoil today’s moment by thinking about it?
